Behavioral therapy

A happier life for you and your dog

Does your dog struggle with certain behaviors, and you’re unsure how to help? Behavioral therapy is a personalized process where we work on your dog’s emotions to influence behavior. I’m here to help you support your furry friend!

I understand how difficult it can be to live with a dog whose behavior is challenging. You’re in the right place if any of your dog’s actions feel overwhelming or hard to manage in everyday life.

How Do I Work?

My work focuses on understanding both you and your dog—your emotions, needs, and how you communicate—and improving the connection between you. Every dog is unique, with its own characteristics, personality, and experiences. By looking at the dog holistically, we can identify the root cause of the behavior and address it effectively.

My goal is not quick fixes but long-term solutions. It’s about building a relationship grounded in safety, trust, and understanding. This is a process that takes time, but I assure you it’s worth it.

Trust the Process

Step one:
Asking for Help

I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for help is the most important step. You might feel overwhelmed or like you’ve let your dog down—but you haven’t. It takes courage to seek help, and doing so shows you are a responsible, caring pet parent. My goal is to help you better understand and support your dog, fostering a wonderful, lasting relationship.

Step two:
Contact Form

Start by filling out the contact form available below. I’ll respond within 48 hours. I may ask you to send some videos of the issue—even a two-minute clip can provide crucial insights into your dog’s behavior. Once I review the videos, we’ll schedule our first meeting.

Step three:
Interview

We’ll review your dog’s history, behavior patterns, daily routines, diet, health, and any past events that may have influenced their behavior.

After the interview, I’ll create a working plan for the first couple of weeks, outlining both short- and long-term goals. I’ll guide you through the plan step by step, including any recommended exercises, and provide a tool to help you track your progress.

Since health can significantly impact behavior, I may suggest a veterinary check-up. If the issue tends to occur outdoors, we might wrap up the session with a walk. The session will typically last between 1.5 and 3 hours.

Within 24 hours, you’ll receive a detailed summary of our discussion and your customized plan via email.

For the next 2-3 weeks, you’ll implement the plan. During this time, you’re not on your own! You can contact me with questions, ideally with a video of any issues. This helps me offer more accurate guidance and instructions.

Step four:
Follow-Up Meeting

After 2-3 weeks, we’ll meet again to review your progress. We’ll discuss your achievements and any challenges. I’ll adjust the plan if necessary and answer all your questions to ensure you’re confident in the process. This follow-up stage continues as long as you need. While I can’t predict how long it will take to resolve the issue, I’m committed to supporting you every step of the way.
